Summer is flying by and July was one of the hottest months EVER! I was thinking about how much I love being outside when the weather is perfect and it dawned on me, how often is the weather “perfect”? Also, when the weather is perfect how interesting are my images?
I decided to go back through the last year of images I created during my photo walks and my most interesting images were when it was cloudy, rainy, windy, snowy, and just little iffy.
So as summer flies by, let’s remember that perfection isn’t always necessary to find beauty in the “Great Outdoors”. Embrace the weather and allow it to help you in capturing images that tell unique and captivating stories. Whether it’s the drama of stormy skies, the dance of raindrops, the energy of the wind, or the peace of snowy landscapes, every element has its beauty.
So, the next time you venture out with your camera, take on the challenge that imperfect weather gives you. You’ll be amazed at how these elements can help you to capture images that impress you and your audience.
